A Mom’s Perspective

I am a fun mom. Like really fun.  I have the fun house. That house that the neighbor kids ask to go to, and that my son’s pre-k friends ask to be dropped off at. My two kids, ages 2 and 4, are almost always engaged in some sort of art project, playing with friends, or trying out gymnastics, rock climbing, or another exciting activity. My kids enjoy a healthy lifestyle, with organic meals,  often made with produce from our own garden. (They are currently eating popsicles made from blueberries and beets that we just picked, as I write this blog.) But I am not Wonder Woman.  I have realized that I can’t be the mom that I want to be if I don’t have some help. And I have found that for me, some of the most important helpers that I have are the caring, detail oriented, efficient house cleaning services  (I like to refer to them as magiciansfor all of the “magic” they are able to do on my home…) of Green Clean Phoenix.

You see, while I might be a fun mom, I am a terrible cleaner. Like, really terrible. For me, home cleaning is just not something I always able to fit in. I would much rather spend an afternoon painting a mural with my kids and their friends, or planting seeds in our garden than mopping the floor. And since there are only 24 hours in a day, often times the floor, the laundry, or the kitchen ends up getting ignored.  And while I do my best to teach my kids responsibility and to pick up after themselves, they are still small, and obviously unable to do a lot of actual house cleaning. But all of that is ok. I always know that at the end of the week the amazing Green Clean Phoenix team will be there to insure that everythinggets clean and that my family has, not only a fun and enriching, but a clean and healthy environment to live in.  Because of this, I am able to focus my energy on creating wonderful memories for my children to look back on, without all of the stress of getting everything done. We have commercial vacuums as well as steam cleaners. Everything is moved cleaned and put back. We have worked very hard to find a crew that takes pride in there work. I am in charge of scheduling, hiring, training as well as follow ups. I can honestly tell you I have never had to follow up as clients are calling me when crew has completed how happy they are, how they have never had a service so detailed etc. I have had these girls we will be using for your school for over 15 years cleaning Dr offices, homes,dentist offices,title offices without not 1 incident or complaint. Besides being ever so detailed in there cleaning, they are honest responsible as well as reliable.

The kitchen is the center of the family house  . we used to spent hours there every day. it is also the most important room for cleaning, and not only once a week when the team of "green clean phoenix" is  coming...   it must be cleaned  every day!

1. Dirty kitchen will become a center of illness in no time , and not just because of rotten food, but  also because of food that left on the counter or on the floor which will attract roaches and others to the party! who knows what these guys are carrying with them...

2. Save on your electric bill, YES, i know it's sounds crazy but think about it, if you have dust which all of us have in our homes ,if we don't clean it than the refrigerator doors are not sealed ,air is coming in and out  and that will cost you money, same idea with other appliances.  very important to clean the gasket .change the filters .

3. Entertain your guests with no fear! i know it is funny but when your family or friends are coming over it does look better for you if your kitchen looks good. and that is a fact!

4. Your appliances will survive for a longer time, if they be cleaned regularly (no chemicals).

5. If you see or smell rotten food, get it out of the house ASAP.    major reason for illness. packaging the food is always a good idea.

6. Clean kitchen is also safe kitchen. when dirty and oily chances of catching fire are much higher.

7. Do not buy food for two or three weeks in advance, shop every two to three days . the food will be fresh and  with less chances to get rotten or not be used at all.

8. Educate your family and friends!!!

Few points to keep your kitchen clean

• Wash hands before and after handling food.
• Wash cutting boards with hot, soapy water every time you use them. Discard cutting boards with deep scoring or gouges.
• Wash hands after touching your nose, mouth and eyes.
• Wash hands after making raw meat and eggs.
• Keep household cleaners away from food prep areas.
• Don't forget to clean gadgets you use for food prep : meat thermometers, measuring cups, measuring spoons, can openers, sieves,blenders, colanders,wooden spoons, cookie sheets and spoon rests. If it touches perishable foods, it need to be cleaned.
• Dispose of spoiled food . Never keep leftovers in the refrigerator more than four days.
• Refrigerate perishable foods after no more than two hours at room temperature.
• Food item that looks and smells off in any way, pitch it.

All the home cleaning and especially in the kitchen area is recommended to be done by green products ,non toxic products,like baking soda and vinegar . do not clean your food with chemicals and do not keep chemicals in your kitchen for safety reasons ,be very careful when having kids and pets .

I have been cleaning homes for over 30 years. I have always loved my job. I am my own boss, I have been blessed to have fabulous clients. Cleaning Medical Clinics/offices

So A Doctor goes to is clinic every day, like all of us that works. we spent most of is time in offices or other places ,but we are there most of our life. the big difference is the this guy sees people that are sick...
so he is exposed much more then us , and i know that doctors protect them selves with all kind of masks and good filtering systems , but i think you will agree that nothing is 100% here. and still there chances to get sick is much higher. when we go there we are already sick, so we can transfer it to someone else or get something else from another patient. so not a safe place to be if you don't need too.
same thing goes for green cleaning or Eco cleaning , anyway you look at it ,you guys means the doctors you are much more exposed to the chemicals that are in use in your office/clinic the us the people that come there only once in a wile.

Green Clean Phoenix and shabbat dinner

Green Clean Phoenix started many years ago. for many of us , it is the story like mine...
It Was about 40 years ago, i was 14 years old, well young...
i remember every Friday i took my time coming back home from school, i wanted to go play with my friends but it was Friday, and on this day i must help my mom clean the house, getting it ready for Shabbat .
Shabbat dinner is on the way and we always have between ten to twenty people on Friday night, so my job was to clean the floors , yes , wash the floors and not just once , two or three times, so that is why i was taking my time back home...
my mom did not use chemicals cleaning products, she used what she made at home with vinegar water and lemon  . Eco friendly? she did not know what it is. did not exist, there was no need for it to be!! it was the only way.
so first i clean the carpets , (with no vacuum cleaner) then put all the chairs up then put music on...
my mom makes her secret cleaning formula wile i m swiping the floors , when i was done i took the secrete cleaning formula and mix it with water in a bucket , then put the mop floor in the bucket (the mop floor holder and the mop floor in Israel until today are two different things, they are not connected. the mop floor is just a big rug.)

my mom used to call it spunja ... coming to Israel from Tripoli during the second world war we got stuck with some of the slang they had there.
any way , after swiping the floors i put the rug on the stick and just start moving with it all over the house.
my mom will always follow me and order me to clean the corners as well and under all the furniture's as well. after every time the mop rug was getting dirty i had to wash it and then dip it back in the bucket. after my mom was happy i had to dry all the house with dry mop rag!!! only then i could put the rugs , chairs , and furniture's back in place.
by the time i was done i had no time to play with mu friends but the house was clean smell amazing was ready for shabbat and i was ready for a nap before dinner .

Welcome Green Clean Phoenix

In 2011, I went through some personal changes in life and decided to adopt a healthier lifestyle. I became a vegetarian, started to work out regularly,  began to recycle more, and talked to friends and family about doing the same. I even got myself a Prius. My business partner got one as well. You can say that I really made a commitment to a better way of life.

Now it  is 2014 and the changes have worked out great for me. I feel better mentally and physically.The only thing that bothered me was the fact that I was not feeling well when I was at my house.I thought that with the amount of allergies and dust in Arizona  it was normal, but I decided to do a test. I called my cleaning service and asked them to clean the house with only eco-friendly products and no chemicals at all.  The results were amazing . I stopped coughing at home, the house smelled clean, and my kids and pets were happy.

Thinking about how simple this was,  I talked with my partner and several real estate agents with whom I do business. A realtor partner’s reaction was amazing. We tried it first at my house and friends’ homes and the reaction was great . It cleans everything!  The smell is great and it is safe for everyone.That is how we started.
